What was there
A 156 ft cascading waterfall over Fall Creek. Several Mills operated along the smaller creek just north of this one.
What is there now
The same waterfall, but also a small park and a bed & breakfast.
A search of the modern Louvre inventory did not show the mentioned sketch as part of their collection.
The settlement of Catharine’s Landing was incorporated as the Village of Havana on May 13, 1836. The name was changed to Montour Falls in 1893.
