    From the time I was a kid, I’ve heard the story that a family member, many generations ago, had helped capture Major Andre. Having done the genealogy, I knew that he was from the area around Tarrytown, but I had no idea that a monument and historic marker had been erected, so imagine my excitement when I arrived here and found the inscription!

    Isaac Van Wart is my great, great, great, great, great grandfather. Isn’t that great? :)
