DuBois House
The fort built in 1705 by Daniel DuBois.  Site first redoubt.  There are port holes in the east end.

Erected

State Education Department – 1935

What was there

A fortified residence that was to serve as a place of refuge for the small community should it ever be needed.   The gun ports on the east end made it a “fort”.  See if you can spot them in the photo of the east end.
