Davis Cemetery
Thought to be the oldest cemetery in Ontario, this is the final resting place of War of 1812 soldier Jesse Gage

Erected

By the Town of Ontario — date unknown

What was there

Pioneer community cemetery, with burial stones dating in the 1800s

What is there now

The cemetery is on private property (Cass Farms) and the land is posted. A crumbled stone wall, barely more than a half foot high outlines the wooded cemetery. A few headstones can be seen from the road. There are 11 known stones here. Some family plots have supposedly been relocated. Across the street is a rural residence and farm.
