Long Pond Site
An Iroquois group camped here around 1400 A. D.
Ash beds excavated in 1912 yielded artifacts of bone, stone and pottery.


By the County of Monroe — 1961

What was there

A prehistoric Iroquois fishing/hunting camp, located north of here. Another camp was located on the north-eastern end of Long Pond.

What is there now

A residential neighborhood in the Town of Greece and a State Parkway exit ramp.
